Sol Tribe - Simplify Social Media. Post in Just 30 Minutes a Week

Finding the time, energy, and ideas to post consistently on social media can feel like a complete drain of your time and energy. Personally I have been known only to posts when I'm in flow but that has recently changed.

The number one issue I see with small businesses is not competing with quality or even price, it is reaching the right people online. However, with a little structre it is quite easy to set yourself up to simplify your social media so that you only have to spend around 30min per week to post.

I know from experience that regular posting makes a huge difference in reaching your ideal customers. With a simple strategy in place, you can create meaningful content that truly represents your brand without the stress using Canva, Content Pillar Strategy, and a Scheduling tool.

I know it can seem daunting, but building simple habits can make a big difference. Creating a social media template and using these strategies has helped me, especially when I'm not feeling as motivated or in flow to show up online.

You'll thank yourself for having done the hard work in advance.

At last week's Sol Tribe meeting, I shared how to use content pillars for social media. I know that heart-centred women in business want to connect authentically while still promoting their work. This easy-to-follow guide is designed to help you create social media content in just 30 minutes a week.

Step 1: Define Your Content Pillars

Your content pillars are the core themes that align with your brand’s message and audience. By identifying these key areas, you’ll never feel stuck for ideas again.

Example content pillars for Sol Tribe:

- Inspiration and Empowerment. Motivational quotes, affirmations.

- Education and Value. Business tips for women, productivity hacks.

- Promotion and Offers. Event reminders, membership details.

- Community and Connection. Member spotlights, group achievements.

I recommend brainstorming your own content pillars based on what feels authentic to you. These pillars will guide your posts, making your content more consistent and intentional.

Step 2: Create Canva Brand Templates

Designing posts from scratch every week is time-consuming. Instead, I recommend creating three reusable Canva Brand Kit & Brand Templates that align with your content pillars.

Example templates for Sol Tribe:

- Inspiration Post. Bold quote graphic in Sol Tribe’s colours with relatable quotes.

- Video Post. A short, authentic video sharing a personal story, business tip, or behind-the-scenes moment to connect with your audience.

- Education Post. Carousel post breaking down a business tip.

- Promotion Post. Eye-catching graphic announcing upcoming Women’s Circle events.

Using Canva’s Brand Kit feature is worth every minute as it will save your colours, fonts, and logos for faster design.

Step 3: Plan Your Weekly Content

Once you have your content pillars and Canva templates, planning becomes easy. I suggest assigning each post to a day of the week.

Example for Sol Tribe:

- Monday. Empowering quote.

- Wednesday. Tip for women in business/Blog.

- Friday. Event reminder or promotion.

With this structure, you’ll know exactly what to post and when, removing the guesswork and mental load.

Step 4: Create and Customise in Canva

I recommend opening your Canva templates and swapping in fresh text, images, and event details. Canva’s Magic Resize tool makes it easy to adjust designs for Instagram, Facebook, and Stories all at once. But depends on where you are sharing one size may be sufficient.

Step 5: Write Captions and Hashtags

Your captions should reflect your voice. Tools like Chat GPT or Magic Write in Canva can help refine your ideas and check grammar, but always ensure your words feel authentic.

Example caption for Sol Tribe:

"Strength grows in connection. Build a circle of women who inspire, support, and challenge you." #WomenInBusiness #SolTribeCircle #Empowerment

Step 6: Schedule Your Posts

Save time by scheduling your content in advance. Tools like Canva’s Content Planner, Meta Business Suite, and Wix Socials Media Scheduling make it easy to batch your posts for the week ahead.

Hot Tip: Creating a Brand Guide PDF that outlines your preferred colours, fonts, and visual style will help you stay on-brand effortlessly. It’s also a great resource for collaborators or team members.
